More and more states coming to the realization that they can stand against the federal government by using the Tenth Amendment, which states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
In essence then, states have the right to remove themselves from having to follow specific dictates of the federal government when it is felt that the federal government has woefully overstepped its constitutional boundaries. This allows the states to nullify certain acts created by the federal government.
To nullify something that the federal government deems is law is a privilege retained by the states, as noted. Therefore, NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) falls under such a heading. It is a law created by the federal government that allows them to arrest and detain indefinitely, any citizen of the United States who is deemed to be a threat to the federal government. As such, the person arrested and detained may not experience the benefits of a “speedy trial” as outlined in America’s founding documents. Clearly, the NDAA (or even the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act [PPACA], or, Obamacare) can be nullified by the governments of individual states.
In fact, many have come forward to do just that. “The NDAA is opposed by many US States, this bulletin says, with California joining Alaska and Virginia this past week in passing a law making it illegal to be enforced in their territory, and with many other States, also, preparing to do the same.”
While we might think “That’s great! When do we start?” The reality is that even as these state governments attempt to exercise their Tenth Amendment rights to remove themselves from under the illegal manuevering of the federal government, they could be playing right into the hands of the federal government. For instance, I cannot foresee Obama simply allowing this to happen without putting up some sort of struggle, can you?
Is it logical to assume that once the number of states increases to the point where enough have nullified the federal government’s laws as they relate to the individual states (or appear on the verge of doing that), might Obama very well simply turn around and “invoke the powers given to him under 50 USC Chapter 13 to hold that various American States are now in a ‘state of insurrection’ thus allowing him to invoke the National Emergencies Act under 50 USC § 1621 and invoke the highly controversial ‘continuity of government’ plan for the United States allowing him, in essence, to rule with supreme powers.” One would think so and if he does, would the law enforcement agencies obey his commands? Almost certainly.
If this occurs, then what would we have on our hands? Martial law, with the states standing opposed to the federal government in what would become a physical assault on those individual states. In other words, Obama would have his “national emergency” allowing him to set the Constitution aside and even bring the military (or the UN “peacekeeping” forces) against citizens of America.
I’m convinced of a number of things. America’s decline is due to a measured attack, not happenstance. It is being guided by those who rest quietly in the shadows. People like Clinton, Bush, Obama, and others are certainly culpable for doing what they do (let’s not forget that it was under George W.’s watch that the so-called “Patriot Act” was created and foisted on Americans), but the real fault lies with those who choose to remain hidden (except for a few egoists like Rockefeller) and literally pull the strings of those who are in power due to their position.
I cannot see the federal government laying down and rolling over if more and more states begin to investigate the powers they truly have through the 10th Amendment. To the feds, that act of resistance will be dealt with accordingly.
As far as the left is concerned, America needs to fall. It needs to because those in the shadows want a new world currency, one that does not rely on the dollar. It began to fall apart not long after the Federal Reserve came into existence, but other things have occurred since that time to hasten its death. When Nixon made a deal with the Saudis to have the dollar backed by oil, that was really the beginning of the end in our time. There was a great deal going on at that time as well and like now, much of it was occurring in the Middle East.
I think the other reason that America is being attacked so that it sinks is so that the Global Elite will know that America will never be in the position of being able to come to the aid of any other country during any future conflicts. This is especially true of Israel. The Global Elite wants Israel for themselves, so it benefits them greatly to keep the Middle East conflict alive.
There are more and more voices telling us that what is coming is not good. Unlike individual states, the federal government has the resources (and can print money any time it feels the need) to overcome any resistance put up by the states or citizens. Right about now, the only state that is really doing well is Wisconsin and that is largely due to Gov. Scott Walker.
Time to pay the piper is not far down the road. As Matt Drudge stated recently, we need to have an exit plan. I hope you do.
